Federal gay marriage

On June 26, , the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in the case of Obergefell v. Hodges.
The Respect for Marriage Act, signed in , requires states to recognize same-sex and interracial marriages, offering some federal protection even if Obergefell is overturned.
